Home Galesburg is bringing people together to find practical solutions to homelessness and other challenges in our community. We're a new, volunteer-run organization, and we're looking for people who want to help us turn ideas into action.
 

Where We Need Help Right Now

We're looking for volunteers with different skills, interests, and experience levels. Some opportunities can be done from home, while others involve working with local businesses, organizations, and people throughout Knox County.
 

Resource Research & Verification

Help us research local assistance programs, contact organizations, verify information, and keep our Knox County Resource Directory accurate and up to date.
 

Technology & Data Support

We're looking for people who are comfortable with computers, spreadsheets, data entry, organizing information, or managing online systems. Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, websites, or databases would be especially helpful.
 

Community & Organization Outreach

Help us connect with local service providers, learn about their programs, identify unmet needs, and build relationships with organizations throughout the community.
 

Fundraising & Business Partnerships

Help us build relationships with local businesses, find sponsorship opportunities, and raise money to support our programs. These positions will require an interview and training before representing Home Galesburg.
 

Administrative & Organizational Support

Help with recordkeeping, organizing documents, tracking projects, coordinating volunteers, and other behind-the-scenes work that keeps everything moving.
 

Marketing & Communications

Help us with social media, photography, website updates, promotional materials, and getting the word out about what Home Galesburg is doing.
 

Direct Assistance & Community Outreach

As our programs develop, we'll need trained volunteers to help connect people with resources, identify barriers, and provide assistance. These positions will require additional screening and training.
 

Events & Volunteer Coordination

Help organize community meetings, fundraising events, volunteer activities, and other projects as they come together.
 

You Don't Need to Be an Expert

Not every position requires professional experience. Some jobs just need someone who's dependable, organized, and willing to spend a little time helping.
